Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Sprocket (the "Service"), a set of pay-per-use financial calculators including LTCG tax estimation, tax regime comparison, and EMI amortization. By using Sprocket, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Sprocket is

Sprocket provides calculation utilities that estimate tax liability, loan amortization, and related figures based on inputs you provide. Each calculation consumes credits from your balance.

2. Not financial, tax, or legal advice

Sprocket's calculators produce estimates only, based on the inputs you provide and the tax rules and formulas built into the tool at the time of your calculation. They are not a substitute for advice from a qualified chartered accountant, tax advisor, or financial planner. Tax rules change, and your specific situation may involve factors the calculators don't account for. You are responsible for verifying any figures before relying on them for a tax filing, loan decision, or other financial action.

3. Credits and payments

Credits are purchased in packs and consumed when you run a calculation. Payments are processed by Razorpay; Sprocket does not store your card, UPI, or bank details. See our Refund Policy for details on refunds.

4. Accounts

Sprocket currently identifies you via an anonymous session token stored in your browser, not a registered account with a password. This means your credit balance is tied to your browser/device — clearing your browser storage or switching devices will start a new, separate balance. We're working toward proper accounts; until then, treat your session as device-specific.

5. Acceptable use

• Don't attempt to bypass credit metering or the payment flow.
• Don't use automated tools to abuse or overload the Service.
• Don't use Sprocket for any unlawful purpose.

6. No warranty

Sprocket is provided "as is." We do our best to keep calculations accurate and the Service available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access or that every result is free of error. To the extent permitted by law, Sprocket is not liable for decisions made based on calculator output.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
